Some recount her origin as that of an ordinary child, a victim of betrayal and ostracism by her own kin, cast out in fear, condemned to a life of solitary survival from tender years. Yet, the murmur of a different truth prevails. Tales more ominous drift through the air, secrets so dire that those who've heard them wish they hadn't. None dared risk their mortal essence to traverse the frigid, mist-shrouded expanse... until this very day.
